Making a List…
Packing and children. Two words that were never meant to go together. Inevitably something is forgotten (goodbye, sanity!) in the midst of the tantrums, toy negotiations and loading up the car/leaving the house.

We've noticed on the forums everyone is game to watch (and share!) their favorite funny and entertaining YouTube videos. So, for this Halloween, we thought we would share a few treats with you. We've compiled a compile a list of our top five favorite videos (plus one freebie!). These are the videos that made us laugh, put a smile on our face and a song in our heart. The best part of these vids is that they're all kid-friendly! Watch them with your kids and get inspired to create some home movies of your own! Let's face it, as they get older, children's homework is tough. In fact, it's downright hard. And, between trying to help them out with quadratic equations, shuttle siblings to after school activities, throw together dinner and stay on top of the evening routine, it's no wonder we can find a moment to sit down and try to help them work out the slope of a line or diagram a sentence! Given the fact that the last time we encountered any of this was in middle/high school, we hit up Google to help us find online resources for when the homework is even too advanced for mom and dad, and the time crunch is on.

We've all got Julia Child on the brain this month and we've noticed in the forums, we're not alone when it comes to needing a few new recipes to add to our repertoire! So, we did a little research and came up with this fun, fast and easy riffs on some Julia Child classics. Experiment and add a few things of your own. Remember, Julia's most famous ingredient was fearlessness (well, that and a lot of butter!) Bon Appetit! And keep the recipe swap going on the forums!

What inspires you to be who you are? Some of our earliest inspirations that determine everything from our careers to parenting and our hobbies come from childhood inspirations. Many of the celebrities we interview in our Celeb Spot cite their parents are their primary inspiration. Think of your own children and their dreams and aspirations. No matter how big or how small, we should nurture their talents and passions in whatever way we can.
