When we checked in with Lauren this month, we received an email back accompanied by this ADORABLE photo, which we couldn't wait to share with you all! In addition to asking about the goings-on with the girls, we also asked Lauren for some advice on how she got ready for (and what to expect) with multiple births. Here's what she said:
First off, the girls are doing great!! They're getting soo big and doing new things everyday. We didn't dress them up in Halloween costumes, BUT they did wear onesies with pumpkins on them, but I look forward to dressing them up next year!
As for the "mommy" perspective on getting ready for triplets, I have to say for the last few months of the pregnancy, make sure you take it easy and stay off your feet as much as possible. To get prepared for the girls' birth, I did what any other expectant mom would do and washed all the clothes and got all bottle and accessories sterilized – clearly I had a few more washings than the average mom! What I found the most helpful was creating a chart for myself (you can also print one off of a website) that you can use to chart all the girls' doings for the day: the amount they ate, their bathroom habits, etc. – having three can be very confusing, so this was especially helpful!
Lastly, I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We're excited to take the girls to my aunt's house this year, the family is looking forward to spending the holidays with the girls — having babies around really brings a new, exciting feeling to the holiday season!
