When we checked in with Lauren and Joe this month they sounded a little more confident and comfortable juggling life with three new babies. Our team also went ga-ga when we saw this month's picture of three beautiful, growing girls! Lauren and Joe filled us in on what their life has been like over the past month.
Things are getting a little bit easier now that we are settled into a routine – I guess we are becoming pros at juggling babies! The girls are getting used to our daily routine and vise versa. Joe and I are getting used to the girls being around. They have definitely made things livelier around here! Every so often we reminisce about the days when it was quiet and when we could just pick up and go. We do walk into their room sometimes when they are sleeping and just laugh because it is still very surreal.
We haven't had any visitors yet since the girls were two months premature, the doctors suggested that we limit the people in our home handling the babies, which is difficult since we could use some extra hands around here! But we'll do everything to keep our babies healthy! We were able to take the babies on one brief outing to my parent's house for my grandfather's 85th birthday. It was a little difficult and took us a while to get out of the house, but it was so nice to be around family with our girls!
Joe spends the day at work, so he doesn't get to see the girls as often as he would like. He wants to add the Dad's-eye view of life with three baby daughters: "I miss the girls all day while I'm at work and can't wait to get home to see them. When I finally walk through the door at the end of a long day, it is the greatest feeling in the world to see my three beautiful girls waiting for me, I feel like a prince!"
