As Jo mentioned a while back on her Twitter account, readers of the newsletter that watched her on Rachael Ray were in for a special surprise.
My family and I had an awesome experience this month. We had the opportunity to go back on the Rachael Ray show to "surprise" Nanny Jo! I received a call from Rachael's production team on a Thursday. They asked me a few questions about the girls, and when was the last time I had seen Jo, which was about a year and a half ago, when she came to my house. At this point, I still had no idea what they were getting at!!! Then, they explained to me that Nanny Jo, was coming back on their show to celebrate her 100th episode milestone and asked if we would be willing to come on to surprise her. I was only given a few hours to make my decision — which was a big one at that. I had many concerns, how was I going to get three 20 month olds into the city, first thing in the morning, how was I going to get them to cooperate on stage, and most importantly, would they break down and cry at the sight of all the audience members, lights, and cameras! A lot to think about, but because I would be seeing Jo again, it made my decision much easier.
The day of, we started off on a great, positive note and ended it the same way. We were soo proud of the girls, for all they did and most importantly for being so " mature" and going with the flow that entire day! They were amazingly good!
The best part of the whole day was finally getting to see Jo after all this time, letting her see my girls again, and to be able to ask her a "burning question" in person! As always, Jo was so warm and welcoming to me and my gang, and of course, she answered my question without even thinking about it! She truly is an amazingly wonderful person! We are so happy that we took the time to go on the show again. It's going to be a great memory for Gianna, Olivia and Sophia to look back on in a few years!
