Create your own advent calendar this year. For each day, come up with fun and holiday-centric surprises, like drive around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights, make gold and white paperchains to hang around the house, paint pinecones silver and gold, listen to "A Charlie Brown Christmas" soundtrack during morning pick-up or drop-off, watch "A Christmas Story" while drinking hot cocoa, pick out a new ornament for the tree, etc. Have fun thinking of ideas that your family will enjoy!
