TV Guide has a brief interview with Jo about her role as Nanny Nell, Captain Hook’s no-nonsense childhood nanny, on Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Nanny Nell arrives to help get the Jolly Roger in ship-shape condition and convinces Hook to go after his dream treasure…not realizing what lurks behind it.

The beloved series is aimed at children ages 2-7 and revolves around a crew of kid pirates – leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby – and their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit two infamous characters, the one and only Captain Hook and Mister Smee.

You see Nanny Nell (and hear Jo) make her premiere on the Friday, 18 July episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates at 9:00 AM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

U.K. viewers: Jo’s new daytime show on ITV, Jo Frost Family Matters, will premiere on Monday, 28 April at 14:00 GMT/2:00PM and is on daily for six weeks.

About Jo Frost Family Matters

UK’s ITV Daytime has commissioned an inspiring new talk show with world renowned parenting expert, Jo Frost. Jo Frost Family Matters will see Jo do what she is best at, helping families in crisis.
Families will include absent parents whose grown-up children have disowned them and tear-away teens turning their homes into war zones; recently formed step-families struggling to accept their new living arrangements and families torn apart by extra marital affairs. The series will see Jo explore the conflict and emotion and offer real, workable solutions.
Each programme will see Jo meet two families with different problems. A visit recorded in the contributors’ home will capture first hand the challenges that are tearing the family unit apart. Jo will expertly talk through these issues and cradle the family’s vulnerabilities before finally helping the family to find some resolution in her genuine no-nonsense Jo Frost style.
Jo Frost said: Family is the core foundation of our society, it gives us a base of who we are and who we will become and perpetuates in our future families. Giving families a chance to be heard, supported and helped is what makes a real difference now and in the future, it is very much needed in Great Britain today. I am absolutely thrilled to help families learn how to repair their foundations and to be undertaking this project with ITV Daytime.”
ITV Director of Daytime, Helen Warner said:  “Jo has spent the last decade helping overwhelmed parents tackle their troublesome children and now with Family Matters we will see her use her expertise to resolve family conflict. I’m delighted to welcome her and this great new format to ITV Daytime.”
