Revered Family Specialist, Jo Frost to Help Raise Awareness of Anaphylaxis and Life-Threatening Food Allergies

August 11th 2015, Los Angeles — The UK’s Anaphylaxis Campaign announces the addition of global parenting expert, Jo Frost, as the newest celebrity ambassador for the Campaign. Lynne Regent, Chief Executive, Anaphylaxis Campaign said: “We are so pleased Jo Frost will be joining the Anaphylaxis Campaign as one of our patrons and we look forward to working with her.  Jo has always been a very strong supporter of the Campaign and her personal experiences of living with a severe allergy means she has a strong understanding of the condition and the challenges it presents.  Jo’s work with families and children means she can bring her natural empathy and knowledge to help parents and carers who are looking after a severely allergic child, which can be very emotionally stressful and worrying.”

Frost joins champion swimmer Mark Foster and celebrity chef, Giorgio Locatelli, as crusaders for this important cause. Jo will work closely with Anaphylaxis Campaign and its numerous families to help raise awareness of the tremendous challenges families face when living with life threatening food allergies.

As a global parenting expert, bestselling author and television personality, Jo Frost has dealt with the life-threatening risks of food allergies within her work with families and also personally since Jo herself is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish. Jo will support the Campaign by using her popularity and credibility to educate families and communities about the health and safety issues surrounding food allergies.

Jo is thrilled to join Anaphylaxis UK, “As a global voice for those who live with life threatening allergies I am grateful to have the opportunity to join forces with an esteemed organization like the Anaphylaxis Campaign. Together we will make strides in bringing awareness and education to communities and individuals who are less informed about this medical condition, creating inclusion and equality for those of us living with Anaphylaxis.”
